Also, if you record a program that is broadcast in HD and in Digital Audio you will be able to later view it in the same format. The capacity that your DVR may hold will vary dependent on the resolution of the program being recorded. This means you will be able to record 90hrs of standard resolution television or 20hrs of High Definition. It is also capable of recording a program at the same time that you are enjoying live TV. Or while watching a previously recorded program you can record two shows at the same time. The second type of box is the regular DVR. This DVR is what you would choose if you do not have a High Definition TV. With this option you may store up to 45hrs of standard definition programming. With the regular DVR you will also be able to record a program while watching live TV or two programs while watching a previously recorded program. So dependent on which Comcast DVR you choose will depend on picture quality, sound, and amount of hours that may be recorded.
